How do we work online as if we were in the office together? How do we simulate the office?
The first way is to use video. This way you can get that sense of team, camaraderie. Turn the viedo on, as humans we connect visually.
The next big thing I like is this telepresence robots. You can beam in from anywhere and you can move around the office, or sideways. And movement gives you a physical presence in the office.
So we set up our meetings, we get in we get out, get on with our lives. For remote teams I recommend to set up a time just for hanging out.

I think the most important thing about team building is to be able to see each other in whatever forms that’s possible.

What’s a team agreement?
Everybody has a different style of working. How do we work together in a way that’s efficient and productive. A team agreement is were the team outlines the core hours, where are we going to store the files, how are we going to communicate? Everything that is goingt o be relevant at some point. You’re just outlining your way of working. When we have this way of working, we can have many different working styles that can get together and be productive.
